We are getting married!

On August 26, 2023 at 5:00 P.M (EDT) we are getting married! We have selected an absolutely gorgeous venue in Dallas, Georgia for our wedding ceremony. Guests should arrive at least one hour prior to the wedding ceremony and no earlier than two hours. There are ample free parking at the venue to accommodate all of our guests. Follow the signs to guest welcome center to be greeted and seated by our host representatives. While you wait for the ceremony to begin, feel free to mingle with other guests and enjoy some beverages and snacks.

Invitation for the wedding

Wedding invitations are being sent via U.S. Postal service with a deadline for RSVP by July 30, 2023. Please register as soon as possible. Instead of the traditional way of responding to a wedding invitation, we have opted to provide our invitees with a more modern way of responding. In the interest of time and convenience, RSVP should be made by calling, texting, or registering online. On the invitation, a phone number and a website address is provided. You must call or text (same phone number) or go online to RSVP; and use the RSVP Code located on the back of the invitation to complete your RSVP. Live agents are available 24 hours 7 days at the RSVP Center to take your call. Regretfully, attendees without a RSVP registration on file will not be admitted into the event center by event center staff/security.

Wedding ceremony, reception, and recommended attire for guests

Wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM., (EDT) and expect to be concluded by 5:30 PM. Immediately thereafter, the celebration begins with cocktail social and hors d'oeuvres at the open bar, followed by dinner and dancing. The DJ will play all of our favorite music, take our guest's request for their favorites, and rock the party! We wish everyone a great time at the wedding, and we want to thank you in advance for your gift of time, in celebrating our special day with us. The celebration will terminate by the send off of bride and groom at 9:30 PM.

Event Attire: We suggest semi-formal, business casual, or smart casual as the proper attire for this event.

Dr. Gary "Buddy" Paker

The wedding officiant

A long time family friend, professor, counselor, minister, and a personal friend of the bride, Dr. Gary "Buddy" Parker, will officiate the wedding ceremony. Dr. Parker is currently a professor at Faulkner University and Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama, and is a Clinical Psychologist. Among many of his achievements, he's also a USA Boxing official and an inductee into the hall of fames for the American Professional Boxing Announcers. We are very grateful that he has agreed to set aside his demanding schedule and officiate our wedding. He's certainly an amazing man and we love him!

Pre-wedding family social

On August 25, 2023 a pre-wedding social is planned for family members of the bride and groom. (time and location via private invitation). This is an event intended for family time together with our family members from near and far, and an opportunity for the bride and groom's family to meet, greet, and get to know each other better. We estimate this event to begin around 1:00 PM in a casual setting. We suggest casual attire for this event and encourage the entire family to attend, including the little ones.
